Volunteer Extravaganza happening tomorrow!
In just over 24 hours, the second Volunteer Extravaganza will take place in Norfolk…
A major volunteer celebration and recruitment event is taking place tomorrow (Thursday 5th June) at The Forum in Norwich, running from 10am to 3pm. Organised by Voluntary Norfolk, the Volunteer Extravaganza is part of Volunteers’ Week (2–8 June), which recognises the vital role volunteers play across the country.
Back by popular demand, the event will bring together over 70 local charities for a unique, hands-on showcase of volunteering opportunities across Norfolk. Rather than a traditional volunteer fair, the extravaganza invites members of the public to take part in interactive activities – from animal care and music making to arts and crafts – giving them a real taste of volunteering in action.
Nicky Stainton from Voluntary Norfolk said:
“We know how much volunteers help making our communities stronger across Norfolk and improving the wellbeing of local people from King’s Lynn to Great Yarmouth. That’s why we’re trying to make volunteering as accessible and as interesting as possible for all. Our Volunteer Extravaganza is one part of that. This event gives people the chance to experience that for themselves, and to speak directly to volunteers who can share what it’s really like.”
The event is free, open to all, and there’s no need to book – just drop in and explore. Sponsored by Aviva, it promises a day of discovery, connection and inspiration for anyone curious about volunteering.
