Voluntary Norfolk, Community Action Norfolk and Norfolk Community Foundation are working together with strategic partners Norfolk Community Advice Network and FUSE Norwich to provide support for Norfolk’s voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations.

The support includes things like information, advice, training or hands on support. It also includes help with finding funding and applying for grants. There’s also support with both finding and keeping volunteers.

There is also some direct funding available as part of the programme. The Empowering Communities Fund is now open to local organisations to apply for grants up to £10,000 to help build their resilience and become more sustainable. For more information and to apply go to the Norfolk Community Foundation website.

A new partnership website will be coming soon, but until then any community group or social enterprise that wants to find out how to get help can contact Voluntary Norfolk.

The Empowering Communities partnership is funded by Norfolk County Council and replaces the Working Together partnership which ran from 2017-2021.

VCSE Annual Conference

We co-organise an annual conference which raises awareness of, and is an opportunity to discuss and debate, issues affecting the sector today.   Our 2020 Conference, held online due to Covid, was on the theme Survive, Drive and Thrive; supporting VCSE organisations to survive the challenges we are currently facing and drive  forward the changes we want to see, so that we can thrive as organisations and communities.  You can download the conference recordings and presentations from CAN’s website.
