Momentum supports voluntary and community organisations working with children and young people in Norfolk. Our aim is to strengthen organisations across Norfolk. We want to ensure that every young person has access to safe, high-quality services that inspire, empower, and enable them to build a brighter future.

We do this through:

Networking opportunities

The Momentum Youth Work Network is a community of Norfolk-based youth clubs, groups, and organisations in the Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector working with children and young people aged 11-19 and up to 25 with SEND. The Network provides a means for members to meet other youth workers and reflect on youth work practice. It is also a great space to discuss sector needs and challenges in a friendly and supportive environment.

Good practice and training events

Through our work with local groups we know what challenges they face and what concerns they have. This makes us perfectly positioned to respond to their needs and organise events that address these needs.

Join our Network to make sure you do not miss any of our future events.

Funding Opportunities

Momentum has a small grants programme to help you deliver high quality activities for young people.

Recognising young people’s achievements

We run the Flourish Youth Awards for Volunteering and Participation, which are open to all clubs, groups, and organisations working with young people in Norfolk. The award celebrates young people’s volunteering and participation and the impact it has on their community and on their own personal development.

Representation

We provide a central point for information and guidance on a wide range of issues. For example, we ensure that effective communication takes place between Norfolk County Council, statutory partnerships and organisations in our Network that directly affect their work with children and young people. We also coordinate The Voluntary Sector Forum (Children, Young People and Families) for voluntary community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations that provide services to children, young people and their families in Norfolk.
