Annual Report 2024–25: Celebrating Community, Connection and Change
We’re delighted to share our Annual Report 2024–25, a look back at a year filled with resilience, creativity and genuine community spirit. From supporting people through challenging moments to helping entire neighbourhoods come together, the report shines a light on the impact made possible by our staff, volunteers and partners.
“Voluntary Norfolk has continued to make a genuinely positive impact to so many people and communities.”
— David Walker, Acting Chair of Trustees
Putting people at the heart of everything we do
This year, thousands of residents across Norfolk felt the difference our services make every day. Some highlights include:
- 8,195 volunteers registered on Get InVOLved Norfolk
- 28,031 people taking part in Freshly Greated events
- 400+ people supported to overcome loneliness through our Better Together service
- 700+ young carers receiving tailored support
- 145 people furthest from the job market helped to tackle the barriers holding them back
- 11,470 essential medical journeys completed by volunteer drivers
Whether it’s a young carer finding their confidence or an isolated adult reconnecting with their community, every story matters — and every story begins with compassion.
Supporting Norfolk’s VCSE sector
A thriving VCSE sector means stronger, healthier communities, and this year we’ve proudly supported organisations of all sizes to grow, collaborate and feel connected.
- 402 people joined the Voluntary Norfolk Network — an 11% increase
- Those members represent 327 organisations, up 10%
- Our VCSE Leadership Network grew by 85% to 165 members
- 14 workshops and networking events welcomed 348 attendees
- Our Padlets saw over 1,100 new posts and significant increases in activity
- Our Volunteering Extravaganza attracted 1,200 visitors and 50+ organisations
These spaces helped organisations learn from one another, share challenges and find new opportunities — because no charity should have to navigate tough times alone.
As we look ahead, we’re excited to build on this year’s achievements and keep working alongside communities to create a stronger, more connected Norfolk.
