Wellness on Wheels Bus at Latitude Festival

Hop on board the Wellness on Wheels Bus at Latitude Festival was the message from the ICS at last week’s music festival.

The wellness on wheels bus was available at this year's Latitude Festival

A team of health and care staff were again at year’s Latitude festival (20-23 July), providing advice on board the wellness bus for festival goers.

Festival goers were able to hop onto the Wellness on Wheels (WoW) Bus for free advice, support and signposting. The WoW bus is a mobile health and care service which travels across Norfolk and Waveney, and into parts of Suffolk bringing local health and care services, advice and support to local people, on their doorstep. Voluntary Norfolk are pleased to be involved with this initiative.

Health and care colleagues were on hand last weekend ready to give support and advice on a range of services, including:

  • Cervical Screeningwellness on wheels bus offering health advice to festival goers
  • Hep C Testing
  • Wellbeing services for Norfolk and Waveney
  • Alcohol and substance misuse support from Change Grow Live
  • How to stay safe and be more aware about the dangers of spiking.

The Latitude Festival is an annual award-winning festival. It features music, comedy, literature and poetry in the setting of Henham Park in north Suffolk.

This is the third year that such a service has been to the festival. The Wellness on Wheels bus was available for the duration of the festival. It offered confidential advice and support to those who need it along with relevant signposting to services.
