Trustees’ Week 2023: 6th-10th November
Trustees’ Week 2023 is happening from Monday 6th to Friday 10th November. It is an annual week of celebration and thanks to the nearly one million trustees across the UK. As an organisation that supports the VCSE sector, Voluntary Norfolk is encouraging people to take time to celebrate the achievements of trustees. Thank you for the time, commitment and effort you bring to your charities to help them thrive.
This year’s theme
This year’s theme for Trustees’ Week is: “Many voices. Working together. With purpose.” We know the VCSE sector makes a huge and positive impact on society and dedicated themselves to an enormous variety of good causes. This year Trustees’ Week is celebrating the individual talents, viewpoints and experiences each trustee brings to their board and their collective decision making and how diversity can help make a charity stronger. It is important to remember that there is a wealth of guidance and support that VCSE groups can draw on, to survive and thrive. Voluntary Norfolk is involved in providing some of this support as a lead partner in the Empowering Communities Partnership.
Throughout the week, the Trustees’ Week website will offer information and resources to support trustees. There will also be plenty of opportunities to connect with other trustees to share their experiences. You an also find out how to become a trustee. You will also be able to develop your skills through our wide range of events, training and guidance. We know that the dedication of trustees safeguards beneficiaries’ interests, builds public trust, and enhances fundraising efforts. In the UK’s sometimes complex regulatory landscape, trustees navigate legal obligations, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices. These resources are there to support trustees as they go about their important tasks. More information can be found here: https://trusteesweek.org/
