There are hundreds of volunteer opportunities throughout Norfolk and we can help you find the volunteering role that is right for you, that fits your interests, skills, location and availability. There are 3 ways you can apply for or search for volunteering roles
1. Covid Response Volunteer Roles supporting shielding and vulnerable people
Voluntary Norfolk is working with Norfolk County Council and District Councils to recruit and deploy volunteers to support people who are isolated or vulnerable. Although there are several hundred Covid Response Volunteers currently active across Norfolk, as we enter winter 20/21, with a second wave upon us, we are hoping for the best but preparing for the worst and are looking to recruit more volunteers, who we anticipate may be needed in significant numbers possibly at short notice.
If you would be willing to help as a Covid Response Volunteer, please visit our Covid Response Volunteer Service page.
2. Roles with local charities or voluntary groups
Over 200 local charities advertise their volunteering roles on our volunteering portal Simply Connect and it is easy to search for a role that is right for you, whether you are interested in conservation or campaigning, computers or community work.
When you find a role that interests you, you can Register Your Interest and the organisation will contact you directly.
Once you have registered, charities and voluntary organisations will also be to contact you directly if they think you would be interested in a new role they have available.
If you are already registered with us and would like to update your profile or see what volunteering roles are needed at the current time, please log into the Volunteering Portal using the link below.
3. Other health-related roles in the community
Voluntary Norfolk recruits, trains and co-ordinates volunteers for health-related roles on behalf of Clinical Commissioning Groups and other health providers. Roles range from includes volunteer drivers, admin, clerical and stock room roles in hospitals and GP surgeries. For further information about these roles please visit our Volunteer Services page.
