First Online Volunteering Fair held

Voluntary Norfolk today hosted its first Virtual Volunteering Fair online.

The theme of the event was ‘Health and Wellbeing’. It was great to be joined by coordinators from the Grapes Hill Community Garden in Norwich, Age UK Norfolk and Voluntary Norfolk’s Health and Wellbeing service.

The event was targeted at people interested in volunteering in Norfolk in a health and wellbeing role. It was especially useful for those who were not sure where to start or what opportunities are currently available.

The session started with a small talk from the groups represented, focusing on their current opportunities and ways to get involved. This was then followed by a question-and-answer session.

The event took on a more informal approach online, given the government guidelines on working from home. We hope it was useful for everyone who joined.

Voluntary Norfolk will continue to hold similar events throughout the year, either online or in person. These will give more information about volunteering in Norfolk.
