Our Objective

Voluntary Norfolk exists to promote, support and develop volunteering and the work of voluntary organisations, encouraging recognition and understanding of the value of the voluntary sector in the achievement of individual well-being and an inclusive and fair society.

This is achieved by promoting, developing and supporting volunteering, enabling people to contribute their time, skills and talents for their own and for the community’s benefit, together with supporting the growth and development of voluntary organisations and community groups. This encourages social inclusion by the engagement of local people in community regeneration and development.

 Voluntary Norfolk intends to:

  • Promote and develop Voluntary Norfolk as the major Voluntary and Community Sector infrastructure organisation in the county, providing services and a voice on behalf of the sector
  • To maintain and develop our existing volunteering networks and services
  • To continue to build relationships with public bodies in order to promote the contribution of the Voluntary and Community Sector to improving the quality of life in Norfolk
  • To enhance sustainability by the development of a range of back of house services to the sector in Norfolk

Statement of Voluntary Norfolk’s Aims as notified to The Charity Commission in January 2010

Voluntary Norfolk’s work and ambitions for the future are summed up in the strap line that sits below our logo: Supporting Volunteers and Voluntary Organisations.
