Community Volunteer Coordinators

For a over quarter of a century our unique network of Community Volunteer Coordinators has focused on recruiting and assisting volunteers, helping them to support clients in the community. This improves the health and wellbeing of individuals, reduces their isolation and allows them to maintain their independence.

Our Coordinators can find befriending and health volunteer opportunities to suit individual volunteers and can assist clients and organisations to find the volunteers that can help them. If you are after our full range of volunteering opportunities please click here.

As a volunteer you could be partnered with someone in the local community who is socially or physically isolated and who needs social interaction and a friendly face to enable them to maintain their health and well being.

Once you have established the area in which you would like to volunteer, we will assist you through the registration process, which involves obtaining character references and running criminal record checks. You will be invited to participate in training which will prepare you for your volunteering role in the community.

We welcome volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities and you choose how much time you want to give as a volunteer.

Here are just 2 examples of the kind of volunteering we organise.
