What the Communications team does:
We are responsible for producing a wide range of publications, both printed and electronic, to support the work of Voluntary Norfolk and the individual projects for which it is responsible. Every year we send out six issues of our newsletter, Voluntary Norfolk News, and every week we put together an e-bulletin to update our members with important, time-sensitive information.
We are responsible for writing, editing and coordinating a wide variety of promotional items, from brochures and flyers to display boards, banners and Voluntary Norfolk’s Annual Review, and we co-ordinate the creation of promotional DVDs.
We are responsible for the management of Voluntary Norfolk’s present website.
We liaise with the organisation’s various departments and projects to ensure that they receive appropriate coverage in the media so that the charity’s key message about the importance of volunteers, voluntary organisations and a robust third sector to the people of Norfolk is given due prominence.
We help to organise and manage events, both for our own projects and staff and, increasingly, for outside organisations on a paid-for basis.
We manage the organisation’s membership lists and provide information to members and potential members and to voluntary organisations.
